Tiles & Sanitary ware Dealers Association (PTSDA) was
formed in 1997. The association came into effect due to
severe octroi problems persisted because of rates
assumed by octroi personnel for tiles boxes. This
created need to associate and represent the case jointly
with government agencies like octroi dept, sale tax dept
etc.
Also foundation of this association was done because
Pune Market has very good growth in Tiles & Sanitary
ware. In 12 years the association had done vast for
their members and also for association. The association
is also prepared for any up and downs.
With the efforts of Kantibhai chouhan and Kirtibhai
Mehta, the name of association to be made was thought of
and about 25 to 30 shops were grouped to become member
to represent our case. Later on, after effective results
from octroi dept, the scope of association was increased
by adding more members and within 1st year about 100
shops registered their names in association. This number
further went on increasing as business organization came
to know the effect of association. Today we have the
strength of about 300 businesses with our association.
From 2008 onward effort are being made to update the
communication systems. We have already established GROUP
SMS systems for PTSDA members. And today (26-01-2009) we
are hosting our web site also.
We have separate Grievance Committee to sort out the
problems of our members either from suppliers or from
customers.
Also we have separate Events & Orientation Committee for
educating our members with regards to taxation and new
laws which comes into effect every year and also
entertaining our members and bringing closeness amongst
members by arranging picnics etc.
We are also committed to help the nation in any natural
calamity. During earthquake in Gujarat , our association
has built a school at Sukhpar village at the cost of
around 11 lacs.
We also print our telephone directory every alternate
year giving full details of members address, telephone
numbers, Mobile numbers and details of partners.
